      A blower door test measures a building's airtightness. Your EPB assessor determines whether the test is needed and how it applies to your file.

      The EPB requirements and need for an airtightness test depend on the project type and permit date. Follow the advice of the EPB assessor for your project.

      A thermal bridge is an area where the structure conducts heat more readily, for example at a break in the insulation. An air leak is an opening through which air flows. Both can occur around windows, but do not necessarily require the same solution. Sealing alone therefore does not resolve every thermal bridge.

      Timing depends on the number of joints, accessibility and selected materials. We provide a project-specific schedule after the site visit.
